Wordless Wednesday - Disney Social Media

I'm not ashamed to admit it... I'm an Instagram-aholic.  Is there such a thing?  Well, there must be, 'cause I am one.  And I love it!

When my cousin and I visited Walt Disney World this past May on our "Mommy Vacation", my Instagram account was on fire!  Take a look....

Wordless Wednesday - Disney Storytelling

Walt Disney World has spots where you can hear *actual* storytelling, but everything in Walt Disney World tells a story.  The resorts each tell their own story.  Each park tells multiple stories.  Even the rides are story based.  Today I'll take you "Under the Sea" on the "Journey of the Little Mermaid", one of the newest attractions in the New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom.

Destination Disney - Disney in Green

When I think GREEN and Disney... what comes to mind?

Have you ever seen the grass so green?

Or, in this case, a bush?

Topiaries!  Lush, green and GORGEOUS!  Another piece of artwork created by those fantastic Disney Imagineers.  And I love how they're ever changing!  Some stick around, like these fun characters next to the Mad Tea Party.  But new ones come all the time.  And don't get me started with what pops up around the Flower and Garden Festival.  Wow!  Here are a few I've seen over the years.  Enjoy!

Wasn't that fun?!  Why don't you join in on the discussion.

Be sure to check back next week and find out what DISNEY thing the color PURPLE makes me think of.

Destination Disney - Disney in Brown

When I think BROWN and Disney... what comes to mind?

That tree is talking to me!

Disney's Animal Kingdom's Tree of Life.  145 feet tall.  Nearly 400 gorgeous carvings.  How could it not be the first thing I think of?!  Even though I know it's not real, I still can't help but touch it, just to be sure.  So life-like!  Did you know that the 102,583 leaves are each more than a foot long?  The time and detail that went into the construction of this icon just amazes me.  I think Walt would have been proud.

Another work of art that can be found in Disney's Animal Kingdom is the baobab tree (also known as the "upside down tree").  Like the Tree of Life, this is an Imagineer-made structure.  If it were real, it'd bloom year round because of all the rain Florida gets.

Anyone wondering where my "That tree is talking to me!" quote is from...
